Resources for Faith Sharing Communities 2008 - Mission of SCC Ministry
Mission The Small Christian Community Ministry within the Office of Parish Life seeks to establish, develop, and nourish Small Christian Communities (SCCs) and faith sharing as an integral part of both diocesan and parish life and ministries in the Diocese of Trenton.
Faith sharing connects our everyday life through prayerful reflection on the scriptures and church teachings with evangelization and service to the poor.
More recently, this ministry has added a collaborative initiative to awaken and engage priests, deacons, religious and laity more fully in the transforming power of the scriptures for preaching, ministry and daily life. The initiative is known as Welcome the Word: God Would Like to Have a Word With YOU! This initiative is a direct response to the 2008 Bishop Synod on the Word of God in the Mission and Life of the Church.
