While candidates in ILEM-Traditional and ILEM-Extended may pursue ILEM-required academics at any accredited Roman Catholic College or University, ILEM has an academic partnership with Georgian Court University and La Salle University. This means that courses required by ILEM are offered there on a regular basis.

The areas of study include:

  • Introduction to Theology
  • New Testament
  • Hebrew Scripture
  • Church
  • Ministry
  • Morality
  • Pastoral Counseling
  • Religious Formation
  • Canon Law
  • Sacraments

Academic Tuition

Most accredited Roman Catholic Academic Institutions offer ILEM candidates a reduction in tuition on both the graduate and undergraduate levels. Additionally, ILEM, through the Office of Parish Life, pays a portion of the tuition bill.

The candidate is responsible for the remaining portion of the bill. This may be subsidized by the candidate's parish at the pastor's discretion. For those in the Catholic School Leadership Track, the Office of Catholic Schools subsidizes this portion.

Diocesan scholarships are available for candidates who demonstrate financial need.
