Evangelization (ih-van-juh-li-za-tion) - to bring the person and message of Jesus Christ into every human situation.
Jesus Christ came to show us the love and mercy of God. His mission continues today through the Catholic Church. He calls us to turn from our self-seeking, pride, and sin, and to surrender our lives to the will of God. Evangelization ministry helps individuals, ministries, and parishes to go deeper as the followers of Jesus, continuing his mission today through consultation, courses, workshops, retreats, and specialized training about how to share Christ with others—especially inactive and unchurched Catholics and those who are not active members of a faith community.
How to Share Your Faith
We are called by God to evangelize, to invite others to meet Jesus Christ in our local parishes. We can let God's Holy Spirit use us to reach out with the love of Christ to relatives, friends, and acquaintances in our parishes, homes, neighborhoods, communities, and workplaces. We can learn practical skills for sharing faith in daily life. By invitation from local parishes our office provides hands-on training about how to share our Catholic faith with others.
