Office of Canonical Services and Tribunal

The Office of Canonical Services/Tribunal is the office established by the Bishop to assist with matters related to the Canon Law of the Catholic Church, especially those related to Marriage and the other Sacraments of the Catholic Church.

Canonical Services

Marriage dispensations and permissions

• For Marriages between Catholics and non-Catholics
• For Marriages of persons currently in RCIA
• For “Special Circumstances” marriages (in connection with Family Life Office)

Marriage validations and sanations

• Assistance to persons in marriages not recognized by the Catholic Church

Answering questions about church law related to the Sacraments
