New twists in YM Certificate Program!
Basic Pastoral and Practical Skills to get a Youth Ministry Program Up and Running.
Certificate of Completion Issued for Basic Skills
5 Saturday sessions and related readings (as in Original Certificate in Youth Ministry) offered monthly at St. Robert Bellarmine, Freehold
Program subject areas are:
- YM Certificate Info. Session - 8/23/07 and 9/18/07 Pastoral Center Library, 7:30 - 9:00 pm.
- County Meetings: Ocean - 9/5 Church of the Epiphany, Brick 7:30 - 9:00 pm. Mercer: 9/7 Pastoral Center Walsh Room 10:00 am - 11:30 am. Monmouth: 9/12 - St. Leo's, Lincroft 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm. Burlington: 9/13 Our Lady of Good Counsel, Moorestown 7:30 - 9:00 pm.
- Youth Ministry Certificate Program
- Session 1 9/29 - Intro. To YM Pastoral Center, Walsh Room 9:00 am - 3:30 pm
- Session 2: 10/13 - Adol. Develoop & Culture - Pastoral Center, Library 9:00 am - 2:00 pm
- Session 3: 11/3 - Legal Responsibilities - Pastoral Center, Library 9:00 am - 2:00 pm
- Session 4: 12/1 - Service and Fundraising - Pastoral Center, Library 9:00 am - 2:00 pm
- Session 5: 1/5/08 Working w/Staff and Volunteers Pastoral Center, Library 9:00 am - 2:00 pm
- Pre-Requisite: Basic Skills Completion (above) or demonstrated competency/minimum 2 years experience working in youth ministry
- 6 sessions of core Courses (as in original Certificate of Parish youth Ministry) We will be partnering with your local faith enrichment center and the Office of Catechesis in offering courses; True Love Waits, Jesus, Old Testament, New Testament, Liturgy, Morality.
- Attend 1 of 2 Adolescent Catechesis Modules (2-3 weeknights). Choose Fall or Spring module (a.k.a. - Youth Group Meetings Express!!!)
- Fall: Topic - Jesus: November 8 &15 (location TBA)
- Spring: Topic and location TBA: April 25 & May 2
- Practicum- Offer one of the Adolescent Catechesis Modules or True love waits as part of your regular Youth ministry Program

RealfaithTV and www.realfaithtv.com is a TV show for teens where teens discuss important issues in light of their Catholic faith! Produced by the diocesan Office of Radio and Television in collaboration with the Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministries, it features man-on-the-street segments, spotlight interviews and in-studio discussions!
