Small Christian Communities
Small Christian Communities (SCC) are most often defined as gatherings of 8-12 people of faith who pray, share, support, learn and go forth in mission, evangelizing one another for others and the culture. Parish ministries, staff and other forms of communities may also include these same elements in their meetings and thus become ministerial (Small Christian Communities). The Catholic scriptures as they appear in the bible or the lectionary are foundational to most faith-sharing experiences, but Church doctrinal and social teachings as well as secular documents may also be used.
Additionally, SCCM also supports other Diocesan ministries and activities including the Catholic Charismatic Renewal, Catholic Men for Jesus Christ, assisting in development of the content of their annual rallies. Further as an outgrowth of the latter, a Man of Faith Fellowship Directory has been developed and posted at the Catholic Men for Jesus Christ website.
