In Humanae Vitae, Pope Paul VI reminds us that we are called to love as God loves - freely, totally, faithfully, fruitfully and exclusively until death. In the vocation of marriage, as each couple forms a new family they are charged with the task of responsible parenthood. Each child is a gift and a sign of God's presence in the world.
To truly live according to God's plan, couples are encouraged to use natural, God-given methods of fertility planning to determine when and how many children to bring into the world.
