Ethnic Ministries
"When an alien resides with you in your land, do not molest him. You shall treat the alen who resides with you no differently than the natives born among you; have the same love for him as for your self; for you too were once aliens in the land of Egypt. I, the LORD, and your God." -Leviticus 19:33-34
The Secretariat for Ethnic Ministries collaborates with diocesan ministries and agencies to provide resources and services that support ethnic communities within the diocese and acts as a consultant to the broader community on issues concerning diversity.

Korean Apostolate
The Korean Catholic Church was established at the beginning of the 17th century primarily by lay leaders. Catholic communities were enhanced by the arrival of French missionaries in 1836. The Catholic community endured persecution in the years 1839, 1846 and 1866. As a result, at least 103 known martyrs died for the faith. Most notably among them were Korean priest Andrew Kim Taegon and a lay leader Paul Chong Hasang. The members of this group of martyrs were canonized by Pope John Paul II in Youido Place, Seoul on May 6, 1984. Their feast day is September 20.
