Charity and justice are essential elements of the Gospel—they are not options. How aware are we of the needs that exist in our local area? Are people hungry, homeless, sick, suffering, or alone? Are we doing all that we can to address their needs? What are we doing to change the systems that oppress? How can we help parishes who serve those most in need? What is our commitment to our brothers and sisters in underdeveloped countries?
